About berberine
Berberine is a naturally occurring bioactive plant compound, bright yellow and slightly bitter, and one of the widely studied compounds in nutritional research. Ours comes from the rhizome (the underground stem) of Chinese goldthread, a plant used in Traditional Chinese Medicine.

A note for sensitive stomachs
Berberine is generally well tolerated. If your stomach is on the sensitive side, take it with food and a full glass of water.

If you experience sweating, paleness, chills, headache, dizziness and/or confusion, discontinue use and consult a healthcare practitioner (as these may be symptoms of serious low blood sugar).

What should I expect when the bottle arrives? +
Every bottle is checked before it leaves our warehouse, then double-sealed: clear shrink wrap on the outside, tamper-evident foil under the cap. Orders ship in a padded mailer or small box depending on size, both completely normal. If anything looks off when you open it, send us a note and we'll sort it out. Yes, the licensed dose is for adults 18+. Do not use if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, or if you have scleroderma.
Can I take it with my medication? +
