No. BHB is can be used by adults 19 years and older according to the recommended directions, because it provides a supplemental source of beta-hydroxybutyrate,. If you're already on a strict low-carbohydrate diet, please consult your healthcare practitioner first, since that's flagged in the cautions.
Why are the capsules large, and why 6 per day? +
BHB is bulky as a powder, and the amount used in the product requires a relatively large capsule volume. The 6-capsule daily dose adds up to 1,620 mg of total BHB across the three salts. We use the largest capsule size that's still comfortable to swallow, which is what gets us to a 6-capsule daily total.

Can I take it with my medication? +
