About the ingredients
NAC+ brings together three ingredients. The main one is N-acetyl-L-cysteine, or NAC, which is a form of the amino acid cysteine. Alongside it is glycine, the smallest of the amino acids (you'll see it on the label as aminoacetic acid, which is just its chemical name). The third is selenium, a trace mineral the body needs in very small amounts, here at 20 micrograms per capsule.
One honest heads-up about NAC: it's a sulfur-containing compound, so the capsules can carry a faint sulfur smell. That's normal and comes from the ingredient itself, not from anything being wrong with the bottle. Taking the capsule with a meal usually keeps it from being noticeable.

What it's for
Here's what NAC+ is licensed for, in the exact terms Health Canada approved:
- Helps normal growth and development.
- Helps to support normal function of the thyroid gland.
- A source of a non-essential amino acid involved in muscle protein synthesis.
- A source of antioxidants for the maintenance of good health.
- A source of antioxidants that help protect against oxidative stress.
- A source of antioxidants that help protect cells against the oxidative damage caused by free radicals.
We've kept this wording the way it appears on the license on purpose. It's the honest version, and it's the most we're able to say.
How to take it
- One capsule a day, for adults 19 and over. That's the full dose.
- Most people take it in the morning with food. With or without a meal both work, but food tends to make the faint sulfur smell easier to live with, so a meal is the simple default.
What to expect
The antioxidant and maintenance support NAC+ is licensed for isn't really the kind of thing you feel from one day to the next. Its licensed uses relate to long-term antioxidant support and maintenance of good health, so results aren't always immediately noticeable.
Follow the recommended directions for use, and give it a fair run. Everybody's different, and timing varies from one person to the next. If you're taking it with a particular health goal in mind, your healthcare provider is the best person to help you decide what makes sense for your situation.

Common questions
Can both men and women take it? +
Yes. The licensed dose is for adults 19 and over, and there's nothing gender-specific about it. If you're pregnant or breastfeeding, check with your healthcare provider first, since that's flagged in the cautions above.
Can I take it with my medications? +
Two to flag clearly: do not take NAC+ if you're taking antibiotics or nitroglycerin. Those are hard contraindications on the license. If you're on a course of antibiotics, that means waiting until you've finished before starting NAC+. For any other medication, please check with your healthcare provider first.
Can I take it alongside my other supplements? +
We always recommend talking to your healthcare provider before combining any supplements. Every body is different, and your provider knows your personal health history best. If they give you the green light, we suggest introducing one supplement at a time and seeing how your body responds before adding the next.
What is NAC, and what's in the formula? +
NAC is N-acetyl-L-cysteine, a form of the amino acid cysteine. The formula pairs it with glycine, the smallest of the amino acids (listed as aminoacetic acid on the label), and selenium, a trace mineral, at 20 micrograms. You'll find everything it's licensed for in the section above.
Why does it have a faint sulfur smell? +
NAC is a sulfur-containing compound, so a slight sulfur note is normal and comes from the ingredient itself, not from anything being off. Taking it with a meal usually keeps it from being noticeable. If it's ever more than you'd like, email us and we'll help.
When should I take it? +
Most people go with the morning, and most take it with food. There's no required time of day, so whatever fits your routine is fine.
What sizes do you offer? +
Our current size is 120 capsules. We're always working on expanding our catalogue with new sizes and product lines, so keep an eye out. In the meantime, you can find us on Amazon at our Amazon storefront, where we run ongoing promotions, offer Subscribe & Save, and bulk-purchase discounts at checkout.

We stand behind every bottle with a first-order satisfaction policy. If you tried it and it wasn't right for you, email us at info@kashanutrition.com with your Amazon Order ID and we'll sort out a refund. We handle it personally.
What should my bottle look like when it arrives? +

If anything looks off, like a broken or missing seal, damage, or anything unusual about the capsules inside, email us at info@kashanutrition.com with a quick photo and we'll take care of it right away.
